What you'll find is a good chunk of layouts lifted from around the 100 page mark of our story. Keep in mind these are my very, very ROUGH layouts. Some stuff made it, some stuff didn't. A lot of the layout process is just me thinking out loud working through Lloyd's script. For those of you familiar with comics, Lloyd's scripts are Alan Moore levels of complexity. Keep in mind whatever you see online is subject to change, and has changed slightly, as this is all very loose in this first stage. (That includes whatever you see on the InSearchOfHannibal.com site. Already, a LOT of panels / scenes have been altered. Beards have been grown, costumes have changed, faces lifted, rooms redecorated, etc. Things will be altered and noodled right up until it goes to print.)
In these scenes we are bouncing around both in location and in time, as there's a series of flashbacks / flash-forwards taking place. A key device for helping the reader through these shifts is the use of colour, so one can see a clear scene / setting change, so I'm sharing this well aware that it will be tough to follow not having the full context of what has come before, and what follows. But I feel that's also part of the fun. Our story is also not a lazy read.

Yes, we're still working away, and yes, we're getting closer and closer!
To answer some general inquiries:
If you have a change of address, don't worry about it. Before the book ships, everyone will be sent MULTIPLE emails to confirm your mailing address.
We will be trying to ship as many things as possible together, so nothing will be shipping until In Search of Hannibal is DONE. If you ordered the Tales of the Punic Wars, that will be shipping AFTER the In Search of Hannibal book. For example: if you ordered a shirt & both books - you will get your shirt with the In Search of Hannibal book, then, in a separate parcel later, Tales of the Punic Wars.
I've also had several people offer to help out with the project from writing to assisting me with the art. When it comes to the art, for as much as I appreciate the offer, that would create inconsistency in the work, and be more hassle than it is worth. Also, I LOVE drawing this. Regarding the writing, it's simply taking longer than expected as we're aiming for something really, really special. Writing a (great) graphic novel isn't easy, as Lloyd has discovered ;) Again, we're only going to do this once! To all those aspiring writers & artists out there... just go make stuff! Hey everyone!
We're still plugging away here, slow and steady. Nikolas Lloyd (Lindybeige) is making some great progress on the script, and I'm hot on his heels with the art. Our process is almost like drawing a series. I get a chunk of script from Lloyd, I do the art, I get another chunk of script, and so on. Nikolas is an absolute perfectionist with the script, just like I am with the art. But rest assured, we are climbing the mountain!

As a penance for the book being late, I will be giving away ALL of my unsold original art pages in art draws from now until the book is completed.
